I met Andrea and Bob over coffee back in February and when they booked on the spot, I was SO thrilled. Andrea had already hired some amazing vendors, and I felt super lucky to be added on as part of her “dream team.” Andrea and Bob were so at ease with each other…..I knew their wedding would express the love that had been growing between them over the last 10 years.
They chose the ever-beautiful Rancho Sol Del Pacifico as the perfect backdrop for their day, and the weather gods blessed them with the most clear day I’ve witnessed up in Malibu, to date. Here are some of my favorites shots from their special day, taken by the fabulous husband/wife team over at Pix of Life, Mike and Gina Goldman.
Andrea’s bridal look exuded the elegance of “Old Hollywood,” with hair and makeup done by the talented, Natalie Buketov, and a beautiful dress by La Sposa!!

Andrea’s fab accessories, arranged on the super-swanky bed found in Rancho’s bridal suite!

Moments after the first look, those lovebirds didn’t even notice the camera! Andrea’s friend, Rebecca Chapman of Rebecca’s Bloomers , handled all of the florals, including her gorgeous bouquet!

The ceremony setup, you couldn’t ask for a better backdrop than that breathtaking view! Andrea made sweet reserved signs to make sure that the VIPS had the best seats on the house!

I love the look of guests holding parasols during the ceremony, it makes for such fun pictures! In addition to keeping the guests in the shade, Andrea also wanted to make sure that the guests had refreshments prior to being seated, had fans to keep cool, and offered her German guests a translation of the wedding ceremony!

Finally coming down the aisle to meet her groom!! This was the happiest, proudest papa I had ever met, the joy he had in his face, for his daughter, literally brought tears to my eyes.

The newleyweds….giddy Andrea and cool-as-a-cucumber Bob, such a perfect match made in heaven!

One of the many reasons to book at Rancho….you can’t beat that sunset view!!

Andrea’s wedding theme was citrus, infused with hot pink, so we had the limes/oranges/lemons popping up all over the place! It made for a perfect summery and fun feel, and made for amazingly vibrant photos!

Andrea’s favors, which doubled as her escort cards, were adorable jars of homemade marmalade, made with Oma’s (grandma in German) recipe. This was a touching way to have Oma at the wedding, since the distance was too far for her to travel.

I am a sucker for festive lighting….the twinkle lights up the palm trees and colorful paper lanterns all came as part of the venue package!

One of the many reasons a German wedding is fantabulous….the moment when the bride and groom have to take off their shoes for the traditional wedding game! Another tradition they kept true to was the creation of a “wedding newspaper”, a binded book of pictures and tidbits on the bride and groom, that is sold during the reception for honeymoon money….those things sold like hotcakes!!

And finally, we end with a great shot of the bride and groom toasting to their happiness!

Please feel free to visit Pix of Life’s blog for more shots of this amazingly fun wedding!
